We have always had a weird fascination with learning about serial killers or murderers and the crimes they committed. Even now, true crime shows and documentaries are loved a lot. There are so many recent additions to Netflix in the genre of True Crime. The newest addition to the long list of true crime shows and movies that quench the thirst of true crime lovers.
The recent addition is Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer story, it focuses on one of the most notorious serial killers in the history of America, Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer; Dahmer was also known as the Milwaukee killer. Dahmer was found to murder a total of seventeen young boys and men between 1978 and 1991.
He would go to bars and lure the men and then pursue them to come home with him, and then he would drug them by slipping something in their drinks. He would then strangle them to death while they were unconscious. He was also allegedly a cannibal and a necrophiliac. He would lie down with his victims’ dead bodies and embrace them very lovingly.
Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer show has a total of ten episodes, and each episode ranges between 45 minutes to an hour. Every episode is a dramatic representation of everything that Dahmer had confessed to as well as his father was recorded telling the police as well.
His father had also published a book accounting for all the mistakes he committed as a father, and how he ignored the early signs of deviance that Jeffrey depicted, how he would go around the town collecting dead animals.
Dahmer committed most of the murders in his apartment in Milwaukee, the Oxford apartments. Some he did in the basement of his grandmother’s bungalow. The show is also giving a lot of useful insights into his relationship with his father, Lionel Dahmer, his stepmother, Shari Jordan, and his own mother Joyce.

How did Jeffrey Dahmer die?

Dahmer was sentenced to a total of sixteen life sentences and had to spend his remaining life in prison. He had confessed to everything he ever did, all the crimes he committed in great detail, and he also waived his right to have an attorney; he also once asked the policemen recording his confession whether he would get the electric chair for all of this,
Dahmer was first kept in solitary confinement, but later on, he was taken into the prison where other prisoners were kept as well. He used to mock all the other prisoners. He would also take the prison food and make the shapes of human limbs out of them and put ketchup all over them to show the sight of blood, and then he would eat them and mock everyone. he had two other fellow prisoners living with him. One was Christopher Scarver. Scarver was there because he killed two men, while the other was Jesse Anderson; he had stabbed his wife.
Dahmer was beaten to death by Scarver, who had told him many times to stop his shenanigans. He killed him in the prison gymnasium, with a bar he had hidden. He also killed Anderson there.
After both of these, Scarver stabbed himself, but he survived the suicide attempt.
Later on, his body was given to his parents, who decided not to bury him but rather to cremate him, so he was cremated. His ashes were scattered in some undisclosed location.
How was Dahmer caught?

Dahmer was convicted for a lot of misdemeanors his whole life; he was a sex offender and once was caught when he was molesting a minor boy; he was later let out when his father wrote a letter to the judge requesting him to pardon his son.
Dahmer was caught when one of his potential victims managed to escape the house and then called the police. The police came to his house and found blood-smeared bedsheets and graphic photos of what he did to all his victims. They also found weapons, bones, and heads that he kept as trophies from all his murders. They also found a drum full of acid and decomposing bodies.
