Tokyo Revengers (Japanese 東京卍リベンジャーズ) is another Japanese manga series that has been written and illustrated by Ken Wakui. The series has also been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly shonen magazine since march 2017. Later on, one anime television series was adapted, and it aired from April to September 2021. The second season of Tokyo Revengers is set to be released in January 2023. A live-action film was also released in Japan n July 2021.
The manga had more than 50 million copies in circulation as of counted in January 2022. In 2020, it also won the 44th Kodansha Manga Award in the shonen category. The plot essentially revolves around a young man whose name is Takemichi Hanagaki, who recalls his middle school days when he was about to be run over by a train. When his girlfriend Hinata was still alive, he jumped into his school and decided to build a better future for himself.
Tokyo Revengers Season 2 Release Date
The first season ended, with episode 24th being its last episode. As a consequence, the second season will start from episode 25th. The anime series was created by Liden Films in 2021. They only announced that there will be a season two and that it is going to be released sometime in January 2023. The upcoming season, dubbed the “Christmas Showdown Arc,” will pit Mikey’s biker gang Toman against the Black Dragons, a powerful and violent gang that has lasted ten generations. Following a massive cliffhanger, this season will feature Takemichi as a Toman’s First Division Captain looking to save and protect those closest to him.
The previous arc has been called The first arc, the Valhalla arc (also called Bloody Halloween).
The first season showed the story of Takemichi Hanagaki, who is a freelancer and is currently in the absolute depths of despair in his life. Hinata Tachibana, his only girlfriend since middle school, is found murdered by the ruthless Tokyo Manji Gang. The day after learning of her death, he is standing on the station platform when he is pushed over onto the tracks by a crowd. He closes his eyes, believing he is about to die, but when he opens them again, he has traveled back in time 12 years. Nakamichi decides to exact revenge on his life now that he is back, living the best days of his life.

Tokyo Revengers Season 1 Episode 24 Recap
In episode 24th, we saw Valhalla was meeting with Toman. Takemichi gets one step closer to his goal as now he has become the gang’s leader, and when he returns to the present, he discovers that he is worth far more than he was in the past. There are some people who like him now.
After that, Kisaki invites Chifuyu and Takemichi for a drink with him and then later also admits that he played a negative role in Baji’s death, but the two are so inebriated that they barely move to defeat this evil. After a while, Baji awakens to find Kisaki murdering Chifuyu right in front of his eyes. He had finished Chifuyu and was now on his way to kill Takemichi as well. Finally, the antagonist fires a bullet, bringing the episode to a close.
Tokyo Revengers Season 1 Episode 25 Story
Takemichi’s fate will be revealed in Tokyo Revengers Episode 25 after Kisaki shoots his friend in the head. Someone will definitely come to save him, as the previous episode ended with him yelling about Chifuyu’s death. The entire room went black, the lights went out, and the invisible force took Takemichi with him, leaving the antagonist stunned and perplexed.
That savior turned out to be Kazutora, who had recently been released from prison and was there to save Chifuyu and had nothing to do with Takemichi. Furthermore, he will reveal some dirty secrets of Toman members as well as Mikey’s betrayal under the influence of Black Dragons’ money.
The second season is set to be released in January 2023.
