Wanda Maximoff in Doctor Strange and Multiverse of Madness
As the Scarlet Witch, Elizabeth Olsen has wreaked havoc on the Marvel Universe. She put on her antihero backpack in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff played her part until the proper moment came. The sequel and Disney+’s WandaVision gave her her big-screen debut. When she first meets America, she is troubled by her past and the terrible tragedies that have resulted from her inability to control her abilities. Wanda intends to exploit America’s fear of her own skills. Wanda’s endgame is the same as it was in WandaVision: her children.
Did Wanda die?
In the film’s last act, America regains control of her abilities and sends Wanda to Earth-838 via the cursed guts of Mount Wundagore. She’d utilized the Darkhold’s dream walking abilities earlier in the film to possess her Earth-838 self in order to find America; upon seeing Earth-838’s Billy and Tommy, she seeks to reunite with them. When she attacks their mother (her 838 self), they become terrified of her.
The Scarlet Witch declares that no one will ever use the Darkhold’s power again when her Earth-838 self says, “Know that they’ll be loved.” She keeps her word and collapses Mt. Wundagore, destroying all copies of the Darkhold across the multiverse and burying herself under the mountain’s bowels.

For all intents and purposes, Wanda’s time in the MCU appears to be coming to an end. In comic books, however, the Scarlet Witch has escaped death’s clutches.
